Welcome to the world of Antoni Gaudi, Tapas, and Sangria! Antonio Gaudi was a Spanish Architect well known for his many building designs throughout Barcelona. I highly suggest buying tickets prior to your trip and showing up when they open to beat the crowd. 

Park Güell — Located on Carmel Hill, is a public park made up of gardens and architecture. Building started in 1900 and finished in 1914, bit wasn’t opened until 1926.  It was inducted by UNESCO into the World Heritage Site in 1984.  

Casa Batlló Gaudi — In 1904, Gaudi took a house and remodeled it to his design. Headsets are given once you enter the home that provides an informative and interactive tour through the house. Be sure to walk to the top of the house for a great view! Sagrada Família — This breathtaking Brasilica started construction in 1882 and has yet to be finished.  It is estimated to finally be completed in 2026. The front and back of the building reflect different styles as it the project was picked up by a different architect after Gaudi passed away in 1926.  On 25% of the building was completed. The inside has some of the most beautiful stained glass windows I have ever seen, along with high ceilings and long pillars.  The detail on the outside is unreal. Make sure you take a trip to the top if you are able to take the winding stairs back down. The view is spectacular!

Arc de Triomf — Built by Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas, the arc became the main entrance for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair.  It leads into Ciutadella Park. The scripture written on it translates to “Barcelona welcomes the nations.” 

Barcelona Cathedral — Construction stated in the 13th century, but wasn’t completed until the 15th century. It is dedicated to Eulalia of Barcelona, co-patron saint of Barcelona. Her body is entombed in the cathedral’s crypt. 

Around the corner from the Cathedral was a man painting on the street. I love picking up local art from different countries I visit. I lifted it up to snap a photo and it’s as if it came alive!

Food — There were so many delicious places to eat in Barcelona. Here are two must visit spots! 

Sensi Tapas — has 3 locations and each place serves different tapas dishes. This was the most delicious food I tasted in Barcelona and the servers were GORGEOUS! Make a reservation to ensure you get a seat! Enjoy!

Paradiso — Welcome to the coolest speakeasy I have ever been to.  On the outside it seems like an empty tiny bar with a meat freezer next to it. Once you walk into the “meat freezer” it turns into a whole different world! Choose from any of their mind blowing drinks and order tapas to go with it.
